Full Interview Process Breakdown
The Maersk RMT selection process consists of five stages, taking roughly 2 to 3 months overall. Below, based on official information and insider experience, is a stage-by-stage breakdown of each hurdle.
Stage 1: Resume and Video Submission
Submit your resume through Maersk's official Workday system. In some years, applicants are also asked to include a self-introduction video to demonstrate English communication skills and passion for the logistics industry.
Stage 2: Video Interview
An initial video screening with the Talent Acquisition team. The interview is primarily behavioral-based, and Maersk officially recommends using the STARR method to structure your answers:
- Situation: Describe the situation you were in or the task you needed to complete
- Task: Explain your goal
- Action: Describe the actions you took, using "I" rather than "we"
- Result: Describe the outcome of your actions, and don't be afraid to show your contribution
- Reflection: What did you learn? You can back it up with data

Stage 3: Online Psychometric Test (PLI Test)
Maersk uses the Predictive Index Learning Indicator (PLI) cognitive ability test, a recruitment tool the company has used for over 40 years.
Test format:

- Questions: 50 multiple-choice questions

- Individual evaluation: a further one-on-one interview segment
Third round: HR emailed to tell me the location and interview format. The email only said the interview had two parts. The first part was a 5-minute self-introduction, for which you had to prepare your own PPT or other presentation format. The format of the second part would only be explained on site. After the self-introduction came the case study: 10 minutes to read, 10 minutes to discuss, half an hour to prepare and build a PPT, and then a 10-minute presentation each.
